Help-Portrait is a movement of photographers who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate. It was started back in 2009 by Tennessee photographer Jeremy Cowart as a charity event to provide the less fortunate an opportunity to have a family portrait produced by a professional photographer. The Winnipeg version of this event was started by local photographers Ian McClausland & Jim Todd. They organized two teams to work at two inner city schools. I have been very fortunate to be part of this very special event since the beginning back in 2009.
