Hi.

In my younger years (I'm currently in my mid 40's) I had a passion for photography. I was a photographer for my University's student newspaper providing photos of day-to-day school events, concerts & sports (shooting B&W film and processing the negatives and prints myself). I was selected to be one of three official photographers for the Western Canada Summer Games during the summer of ‘87 in Regina. That was an amazing experience and introduction to the excitement & pressure of a creative environment within a tight operating time window. A perk from that job was a flight in the Kodak hot air balloon over the city of Regina. My formal training (University of Regina/Red River College) in the field of computer science lead me into a career of bits & bytes, but photography was always around when I found the time to go out and shoot. From my late 20's to present day, I've been working as a Civil Servant for the Government of Canada (Information Technology). Once life started to settle down & my two kids became a more independent, I found myself with a little more free time. I decided to commit the effort not only to improve my photography skills, but also learn the new tools of the trade. Camera film slowly disappeared to become pixels and darkrooms replaced by software. In 2006, I purchased a Nikon D200 (and later upgraded to a Nikon D3) and all of the software required to process raw digital files. I've attended photography workshops and taken classes to learn Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom. I'm now shooting projects that I find both interesting & challenging. Don't hesitate to send me a message if you have something you need produced...I'd be more than happy to discuss as every photography job & client is unique (this is what makes this industry so exciting & challenging to work in!)
